a birthday card for my nephew

 

On 5th of november is the 4th birthday of one of my nephews in Germany. Today I went to the post office to bring a birthday present on the way. Of course the artsy aunt also put a little self painted card into the package. I had fun this morning painting, whittling and sticking. I was in quite a hurry, so when I walked out the post office I remembered that I had forgotten to give the sun a face!

El 5 de noviembre uno de mis sobrinos en Alemania cumple 4 años. Hoy fui a correos para enviar un regalo de cumpleaños para él. Por supuesto como tía artista también añadí una tarjeta de felicitación pintada por mí. Me lo pasé bien esta mañana pintando, cortando y encolando. Tenía bastante prisa, así cuando salí de correos me acordé, ¡que olvidé de dibujarle una cara al sol!

I´d like to share some of my paintings.
This one is 145 x 114 cm and is called "migratory bird". I worked with acrylics, sand and charcoal.
It´s kind of special, as it has a good knowledge of human nature...it showed me in one occasion very clearly that I had to leave a certain place asap!

Me gustaría compartir algunos cuadros.
Este mide 145 x 114 cm y está titulado "ave de paso". Lo trabajé con acrílico, arena y carboncillo.
Para mí este cuadro tiene algo especial, ya que tiene un buen conocimiento de la naturaleza humana...¡me hizo entender en una ocasión de una manera muy clara que tenía que irme de un determinado sitio cuanto antes!

Even asleep I often feel to be in a racing with time!

Transportation

I got up a little earlier this morning in order to do this little painting for this week´s Illustration Friday topic "Transportation" - really last minute!

Thinking of the topic this was one of the first three ideas that came in my mind. Don´t you think that a flying carpet is just one of the fastest and ecological means of transportation ever? Just step on, say your destination and shoooooommmm....I think I need this to arrive on time!
