"Canary and chinese teapot", acrylics and pastel on canvas, 19x24 cm
Detail "Canary and chinese teapot"
This little birdy is a beloved companion, so cute and canty. He fills my heart and home with so much joy everyday. Have you seen? I´ve done a figurative painting, huh, doesn´t happen so often!

a male nude portrait

A clipping of a male nude portrait in acrylics on paper, DIN A4, painted back in march 2008.
I still like this painting very much, because of the alikeness I wangled and the atmosphere that reflects the moment the painting was created. Of course a very private moment, but I think the calm and aesthetics of this image is worth to be shared.

cultivate - cultivar - kultivieren

It is important to c u l t i v a t e good thoughts and nourish your spirit. The more the better. So that ominous black clouds have no chance to invade your brain. Let the sunshine in!

Little painting/collage with watercolours and inkpen for Illustration Friday.

Isn´t the reverse part of both women and men a very attractive and special one? Particularly because we can´t look at ourselves like this, it is reserved for others to see our b-side.

This is a rough watercolour study of a live drawing session with 5 minutes poses. I am really clumsy at this, as it was the first time in ages that I went to life drawing. Later I pimped the drawing up with colour pencil.

Sneaky

In the middle of the night, the sneaky old witch sneaks away and is hopefully never seen again...

For Illustration Friday´s topic "Sneaky" I took the dark meaning of sneaky, for I dread to be quite blah these days.

Spooky

Spooky is this week´s Illustration Friday topic. I am not a native english speaker and the word "spooky" sounds cute to me, so that first I was thinking of likeable ghosts.

But finally this sinister coachman came up - I don´t know why and from where...but here he is and I find him really intimidating!

I used watercolour and charcoal.

Transportation

I got up a little earlier this morning in order to do this little painting for this week´s Illustration Friday topic "Transportation" - really last minute!
Thinking of the topic this was one of the first three ideas that came in my mind. Don´t you think that a flying carpet is just one of the fastest and ecological means of transportation ever? Just step on, say your destination and shoooooommmm....I think I need this to arrive on time!
